The Client needed an online bidding system and paperless portal for accessing the agency’s consulting contract opportunities. 
Challenge Addressed

Client’s goal is to modernize and streamline its bid and proposal process, reduce paper-based workflows, improve communication with vendors, and increase efficiency and transparency in how contracting opportunities were managed and awarded. 

Talent Table team designed and developed a custom web application that enables vendors to find opportunities, communicate with agency staff, and submit proposals electronically, while giving contract owners and administrative staff tools to manage, review, and track bids through a centralized system. 

Since launch, the custom application has supported the award of roughly $100M in contracts and has improved the speed, visibility, and overall efficiency of agency’s contracting process for both internal staff and external vendors.

Custom Public RFP and Procurement Workflow Solution

Project Background

The client operates a custom-developed online bidding system designed to automate the creation, submission, and evaluation of vendor bids and proposals for public RFPs related to equipment, services, large scale construction projects and more. The platform serves as a centralized digital hub for managing procurement opportunities, improving transparency, and increasing efficiency across the contracting lifecycle.

Airport Ride Sharing and Taxi Queuing System

Project Background

The client required a cloud-hosted application to support short-trip taxi operations at a major airport, providing operational efficiency and enhanced service for participating drivers to support the local badged taxi operators from introduction of Uber & Lyft in to the Airport.

Challenge Addressed

The client needed a system that could manage “short” fares—trips to nearby areas that allow drivers priority return access to the airport—while ensuring compliance with defined operational rules and fair allocation of privileges.

Talent Table team developed a custom, cloud-hosted application that tracks short-trip fares and automatically provides head-of-line privileges to drivers returning within the approved timeframe and region. The system monitors accepted trips, calculates eligibility, and supports efficient airport taxi operations while maintaining fairness and transparency.

The application improved operational efficiency and driver experience, and was recognized with the “Best of California” award in September 2017 by the Center for Digital Government for innovation in digital services.

Public Safety

Project Background

This is a significant initiative aimed at integrating all City and County’s criminal justice agencies’ case management systems and retiring outdated technologies. to support public safety data sharing, integration, and reporting across multiple justice departments, while maintaining appropriate controls to only share appropriate information between agencies on different sides of law enforcement (i.e., Public Defender vs District Attorney or defense vs prosecution).

Challenge Addressed

Client needed to reassess the maturity and effectiveness of its existing custom application integrations, align multiple independent justice agencies, and define a clear, unified roadmap to realize the full potential of an integrated, citywide justice data environment.

Leveraging partnerships, Talent Table team developed a comprehensive 5year JUSTIS Roadmap that defines options and recommendations for system integration, centralized data repository design, technical architecture, staffing, governance, and phased implementation.

The roadmap will provide the City and County with clear next steps, costed options, and measurable implementation strategies that enable more efficient operations, improved data sharing and reporting, stronger governance, and better-informed decision making across all participating justice agencies.
